Director of Sales & Events (DSE) to drive revenue growth, lead strategic sales initiatives, and oversee seamless event execution. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of sales, event planning, and client engagement.
About the Role:
The
Director of Sales & Events will develop and execute sales strategies, build strong client relationships, and ensure the successful planning and execution of events at
Origin Park. This role requires both a sales leader and an event management expert—someone who can drive revenue while maintaining the highest standards of service.
As a key member of our leadership team, the
DSE will collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences. This position also supervises the
Associate Director of Sales & Events and plays a pivotal role in expanding our client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to position our offerings effectively.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals to potential clients.
Event Management:
- Oversee the full event lifecycle from planning to execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams.
- Ensure seamless coordination of logistics, staffing, and service delivery.
- Develop and enforce event policies to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide post-event evaluations and recommendations for future improvements.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the
Associate Director of Sales & Events and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns.
- Partner with finance to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a
senior sales role within the events or hospitality industry.
- Minimum
2 years of leadership experience in event management or planning.
- Strong track record of
meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to
manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or event management software is a plus.
- Availability to
work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Valid driver’s license required.
